Fantasy

Well, I’ve been really busy lately preparing the cheerleaders for their competition! (In fact, I was hoping that it would be raining this morning, so I could sleep in instead of go running.  That was just a fantasy; in reality the weather was perfect for running, so I ran and felt great afterwards!) I want the squad to do so well and I know they have the capability to score high and bring home the trophy! Sometimes it is frustrating when my girls don’t understand and put to use the abilities God has given them. It all takes me back to that song that came out about 5 or so years ago. I think it was title, “Sunscreen”. When I first heard it on the radio, I thought it was weird, but once I really listened to the words (that’s all it was, no singing) and the older I get, I learn that it is so true!! We always seem to hold back because of our insecurities, when, instead, we should walk tall and proud and LIVE life! Everything doesn’t have to be a Fantasy, we can make it happen, if we put out the effort.

Anyway, enough food for thought. Our competition is on Saturday, January 20th at Nettleton. I would love for everyone to come and watch our FANTASY of being the 6A Regional Champions become a REALITY!!

Go Whirlwinds! And don’t forget to wear SUNSCREEN!

An Evil Dragon in the Kingdom

There is an evil dragon that has entered our kingdom. This  dragon has been roaming the land for years and years. It has been lurking around and we can no longer ignore it. Not many have conquered the dragon and those who have are legends. This mean dragon’s name is “F.A.T.” (Fabulous And  Tempting)

 In order to do away with “F.A.T.”, our family has decided to have a little contest. We will be playing our own version of the TV show, “The Bigger Looser.” 

 Okay, here’s how it (suppose to) works. We have a weigh in (which was suppose to be on Monday, but has ended up being postponed two days….I know what your thinking, we’re off to a great start….PROCRASTINATING already! Isn’t that how most diet plans go?!). Then, whomever looses the most weight, based on a percentage, because we are all at different weights and stages, they will WIN a ca$h prize to be paid by the losers. Sounds great, right! We’ll see!

The participants trying to slay ”F.A.T the Dragon” are myself, KatieRae, Judd, and Mallory. Katie Rae and Judd have already cheated. Before their weigh in, they feasted on a large meal, which they referred to as “the last supper.” I think they just about made themselves sick! I’ll keep you posted and give you updates as we try to protect our kingdom from this dragon, F.A.T., before it rips our clothes at the seems!

 p.s. If you want to make a side bet on who will conquer and win, let me know………but if I were you, I’d put your money on ME!!!!!!!!!!hahaha

In a Gymnasium Far Far Away..

Molly had her first gymnastics class last night! She loved it! She didn’t have to be still and she didn’t have to be quiet; this is right up her alley! She ran, stretched, jumped on the trampolene and into a foam pit, hung from the bar and swang, walked on the little balance beam, etc.. The best part of all………..she was so exhausted, she went to bed EARLY!

Once upon a time..

Once upon a time, Christmas break was LONGER! I had such a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s that I just wasn’t ready to come back to school, yet. Molly was excited to see her teachers and friends, though. However, on the way to school this morning, Molly said to me, “Momma, do you wish today was one of those days where we didn’t go to school?” I wanted to say, “YES!” so badly, but instead I let her know how important school was (like a good Mother is suppose to) and it was time to get back into our routine. Then, she said, “Well, when school is over today how about we go home, put our pajamas, house coat,  and house shoes on, and snuggle in bed together.” That was music to my ears, so guess what I will be doing in a couple of hours………
